Passion...

Let me start by saying that I'm a 27yo mother that still receives coloring books, paints, markers, and canvas for Christmas...and those have been some of my favorite gifts.  In the last few years, I haven't been able to paint and color like I like to, but that's the life of a mommy. I have always loved art, color, and design...you could say its been a lifetime passion of mine...but a passion that seemed to be slowly fading.

So about 5 or 6 months ago, I did a search on YouTube for a makeup look.  I don't remember why I did the search but I've been hooked since that day. Thanks to a few YT Makeup Gurus: Kandee Johnson, TiffanyD, Pixiwoo, QueenofBlending, etc., I started doing online searches, purchasing books, and looking for classes and schools. I have completely immersed myself with learning and I'm having the time of my life!!  I discovered the Art of Makeup and it keeps my passion alive!! It's painting and coloring...I LOVE IT!!!

My mom has always told me to find something that I LOVE to do and then find someone to pay me to do it.  That's where I'm headed!  And so should you!! Find your passion!! Who cares what anyone thinks, if it makes you happy?! We all have a happiness inside and sometimes its a little harder to find.  So if you have to search, like I did, then search.  It can't hurt and who knows, you might find other passions on the way.  Don't stop looking until you find it!!  Have a wonderfully positive day!!

Think about it; if everyone loved their job, none of us would ever again feel the need to hang up on an angry customer service operator.

Something to Somebody

We all have times when we feel like we're not living up to our potential or that we're just not good enough, but we are!! Its just a matter of telling ourselves and actually believing it. If we tell ourselves over and over that we're not good, we will evenutally believe it.  So why not tell ourselves that we are good. Won't we eventually believe that also? Of course!!

Just yesterday I posted a Facebook status that read, "...dont want to be everything to everybody...just something to someone...and I'm a mommy so I'M GOOD!" There are times when I don't know where I'm going, what I'm doing, or how I'm going to do it...but I always have my baby!!  I failed at being everthing to everyone (as anyone who has tried, has) so I practice being something to her.  And I don't think I'm doing such a bad job. =) 

The saying, 'what goes around, comes around' also works in a positive direction. Do positive things and positive things will happen!! Have a wonderfully positive day!!

Hey Ladies (and maybe Gents)!!

Welcome to my Blog!! I guess I should start by telling a bit about myself. I am a 27yo mother, student, massage therapist, and aspiring MUA. I have spent my life in school and I've FINALLY found what I want to do in life. It just goes to show that you sometimes won't know as soon as you leave college for the first time.
